KARAOKE

The Karaoke Beginner:
Would you like to get up and sing but your nervous or intimidated?

Everyone can sing, it's just a matter of picking the right songs for your voice, a little practice and you will soon have the courage to be one of the singers at your favorite Karaoke event.
  • Remember that you don't have to be a great singer, Karaoke is for fun and the more you sing the better you get.
  • If you feel intimidated at first, ask one of the other singers to join you on stage.

Karaoke Parties

Tips & Hints To get your Karaoke Party happening
  • Assign or hire someone to be the Karaoke Host or do the hosting yourself . Be sure that the Karaoke Host is familiar with the operation of the equipment (karaoke equipment is expensive and should be operated only by a designated host.  If you assign a guest as host , be sure that they are comfortable in front of a crowd, lively and can get the party going.
  • If you have lots of singers, give each guest a singing rotation number, this will ensure that  your party keeps moving smoothly and that everyone gets an equal chance to sing.
  • Supply paper & pencils so your guests can write down their requests  and have them ready when their turn comes.
  • Some people are timid about getting up to sing on their own, try having a group sing, invite all the women to get up and sing and then get all the men up to sing.  This inspires a sort of competition between the sexes and is a great ice breaker.
  • Encourage duets.
  • Applaud generously.

Remember that Karaoke is for fun and not a singing competition
